So, the phone rings today while we are eating dinner. Brooke decides to answer this time. Here is how the conversation goes:
Brooke: Hello?
Foreign Telemarketer Man (FTM): Hellos is this Holly?
Brooke: Yeah!
FTM: ... begins reading his telemarketing script...
Brooke: Haha! I joked you! It's me, Brookie!
FTM: What?
Brooke: Is this Papaw?
FTM: No.
Brooke: Uncle "uss?"
FTM: No this isn't...
Brooke: Can I talk to Audrey?
FTM: Silence
Brooke: What's your name?

Brooke's "Job"
Brooke didn't want to get ready for bed tonight. She was talking back to Holly about it and Holly told her that if she had a job and a paycheck, she might get to have a say so at this house. Her response?!? "My job is to be cute."

Brooke and Karate Sparring
So, we take Brooke to her karate class last week. The class before her is finishing up and they are sparring. This is the first time Brooke has ever seen them actually punching, kicking, and taking each other to the floor. Some were throwing some pretty hard punches and kicks and I noticed Brooke's eyes getting big as she watched them. I'm sure that she is thinking, "Oh my! I don't want to get hurt!"
So, I ask Brooke, "Do you want to do that someday?"
Brooke replies, "No. I'm afraid I might hurt someone!"
Bahahahahahahahahaha!

Prayers for North Carolina
As I was preparing for a conference with Liberty Counsel on Friday, I received a phone call from Brooke. She was staying with MaMaw and PaPaw while we were working. Apparently she had been watching the news of the massive Hurricane Irene going towards North Carolina. She made Doris call me so she could tell me, "Daddy, we need to pray for North Carolina because they have lots of water and a 'urricane!'"
So proud of my little girl having a heart for others... and she is only 4!

Smiling with Daddy
Brooke woke me up at midnight when she went to the bathroom. She asked me to walk her back to her room and said, "Daddy, you know I'm afraid of the dark. But but when I'm with you I'm always smiling." Yeah, she has daddy wrapped around her little finger!

Text from a Teacher: How It's Made
We watched an episode of how it's made for ice cream and ice cream cones. Everyone else wanted to go play afterward, but brooke has now watched how fireworks, bubble gum, doughnuts, pretzels, and now hot dogs are made.

Mrs. Billingsley...i'm dizzy because i'm god's princess and that made me spin around and around! But now I can't see very well.
Text from a Teacher: Water Play
One thing you have to say about brooke is when she plays she plays hard. And we are MAKING brooke stop eating today after her 5th ham sandwich and 2nd helping of chips.
Text from a Teacher: Bubble Time
So I discovered today that bubbles being blown causes brooke to rush about while speaking in tongues. I used up almost all of my bubble soap because it's one of the funniest things I've seen all week.
Text from a Teacher: Princess Sleep
Brooke is complaining she's tired because mommy and daddy just kept waking her up all the time last night and she needed princess sleep.
