Brooke Baptized

Well, we couldn't have asked for a greater Mother's Day gift than this.  Brooke was baptized today!  She asked Jesus into her heart about 5 weeks ago and after several long conversations about it, she convinced us it was indeed the real deal!  I'm amazed by this awesome little girl God has blessed us with.  She has been telling the world about Jesus ever since she was saved!  She has told her teachers, principals, class mates, friends, cousins, and just about anyone else that'll listen.  She is even telling her friends who claim to have been saved that they need to be baptized.

Brooke played Upward Soccer this year.  Out of 400 kids, only one boy and one girl received the most special award possible... the "Most Christlike" award.  When presenting the award, they said that the girl who won this year was saved during the course of the soccer year and most people knew about it.  Why?  Because she was telling everyone!  That's why this year they chose Brooke for the award!  I just can't express how proud of a daddy I was.  Meanwhile, mommy was crying her eyes out and beaming with pride. We can all learn from Brooke's example of how to reflect the image of Christ to others.

Brooke and Daddy Photoshoot

I got out the tripod and took some timed shots of Brooke and I. We had a lot of fun with it and I really like some of the shots we got!

Cowgirl Brooke

This is the place we're having Brooke's birthday party. She wants a "Jesse" party (cowgirl from Toy Story). This is at the Bar 50 Ranch in Bismark.

Pictures by Brooke

Brooke got a camera for Christmas! She took 252 pictures in under 2 hours. Maybe she'll be like her daddy!

Disney World!

We just spent a week in Orlando and went to Disney World and Sea World. Words can't explain how excited Brooke was to see Mickey, the princesses, and the rest of the gang. We had breakfast with the princesses, lunch with Tigger and Pooh, and lunch with the Little Einsteins, JoJo, and Goliath. I've broken down our pictures by the days we were there and will make a new post once the videos are ready.

Day 1 (Downtown Disney)

Day 2 (Magic Kingdom)

Day 3 (Epcot)

Day 4 (Animal Kingdom)

Day 5 (Downtown Disney / Sea World)

Day 6 (Sea World)

Day 7 (Hollywood Studios)

Pumpkin coloring

Brooke learned how to create a custom pumpkin design on playhouse Disney's website, print the pumpkin on a background, color it, and then hang it on our refrigerator with magnets. Oh my! She enjoyed this a little too much! At last check, I think we have about 15 on the frig now! At first, she was very careful to stay in the lines and use multiple crayon colors. By the time she was done however, it had turned into a frenzied speed-coloring dash! She just couldn't wait to get to her next creation!

Pink

When Brooke was out of school, she and I got to have a "daddy - daughter day." I thought I'd take some shots of her pink room to show everyone. We had a blast!

Brooke and Audrey Meet Santa

The last 3 or 4 pictures are my favorites. I think she knew that she wasn't good enough to make it on Santa's good list so she gave him hugs and kisses to butter him up!

Sunday's Sermon - The Christmas Dragon

Bro. Driggers is preaching this Sunday and his sermon has an odd title, "The Christmas Dragon." Here are the title screens I've been working on.

Our Little Ballerina

MawMaw bought Brooke and Catelynn some ballerina / princess stuff the other day. Needless to say, they think they're "all that."

Milton - Hog Superfan

I decided to take some time last night fixing up a picture of a misguided friend of mine, Milton. The poor guy is an LSU fan. Yes, I know what you're thinking... "How could you be friends with such an evil person?" Well, even Jesus hung around with thieves, prostitutes, and tax collectors. We must always be looking out for witnessing opportunities. Maybe this picture will help him to see the potential he has in life. Maybe he can turn from the dark side. Maybe he will repent of his wicked ways.

The Height of Ambition

She reminds me of myself on Sunday afternoons... just watching a different channel.
